Michelle Trostle, M.Ed., C-SLDI

Michelle Trostle is a veteran educator with 24 years of experience as a K–12 teacher, instructional leader, and district administrator. In her current role as a Consultant in MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) and Literacy with the Capital Area Intermediate Unit, she equips educators and leaders with the tools to translate the ‘science of reading’ and ‘science of learning’ into daily practice. Michelle’s work is shaped by her training through Dr. Anita Archer’s Explicit Instruction Academy, where she refined strategies to ensure all students are actively engaged and responding throughout every lesson. She shares her expertise widely through professional development, her YouTube channel, @TrostleTalk, and her website, teachreadingright.com. Certified through the Center for Effective Reading Instruction as a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist and board member of The Reading League Pennsylvania, Michelle is committed to advancing evidence-based literacy instruction. She enjoys time with her husband and two daughters when she’s not championing stronger learning outcomes for all students.
